How Do I Create Posts, Offers, Or Events On My Google Business Profile?

In this video, we’re going to cover how to create posts, offers, or events on your Google Business Profile. 

To access your Google Business Profile, you should go to business.google.com and log in with an account that either has manager or owner access. Once you’re logged in, you’ll see a dashboard with a variety of options. Click on Add Update.

This menu gives you 3 options:

• Add update – general interest about your company
• Add offer – perfect if you are running any specials.
• Add event – if you are hosting something for the public.

How Do I Add An Update To My Google Business Profile? 

To add an update, just click on Add update. You can include a photo, description, and even use on of the call-to-action buttons, like Order Online or Book. Once you select your call to action, then you add the corresponding link or information as needed.

We strongly recommend adding a UTM tracking code for analytics purposes. This will help you see if you are getting leads to your website from these offers.

How Do I Add An Offer To My Google Business Profile? 

Start by clicking Add offer. You can add an image, create a title for that offer, specify the start and end dates, and add details, including the fine print of the offer. You can add a coupon code if you have one, as well as a link to a special page on your website where we can direct it to the actual offer. This also is a good time to for a UTM code to track the traffic.

Once you save it, the post will either be scheduled or live. Then, whenever your Google Business Profile pops up in the search results, your updates as well as your offers, will be visible near your reviews. 

This is a great way to communicate what your business has going on, any offers you have, or events you’re hosting, to customers and potential customers.  

Remember – it’s important to post consistently on your GBP.
