Mark Sherwin runs the client-facing side of LeadsNearby, the Cary, North Carolina digital marketing agency he co-founded in 2010 with CEO Bob Misita. For more than 15 years, he's helped home service contractors — HVAC companies, plumbers, electricians, garage door pros, and more — figure out how to get found by the customers searching for them, and chosen once they do.
Before LeadsNearby, Mark spent his career inside the agency world. At MarketSmart Interactive (later Keyword Ranking), he managed website marketing campaigns for more than 70 clients across a range of verticals, holding roles as Interactive Marketing Manager, Client Team Lead, and Business Development Manager. He later served as Director of New Business at Media Two Interactive. That mix of strategy, account management, and sales is what shaped how LeadsNearby works with contractors today: every marketing decision has to tie back to whether the phone is ringing and whether the right people are picking it up.
Mark hosts the Contractor Marketing Soapbox podcast, where he sits down with home service business owners to dig into the operational and marketing decisions behind their growth. He earned a BSBA in Marketing from the University of Hartford and an A.A.S. in Marketing from Hudson Valley Community College.
